It seems that time is a space rocket, always speeding to God-Knows-where while we chase after it panting and sweating. Do you remember on the eve of new year 31st December, 2017  when you went all out dishing all the goals you had lined up for the new year. Where are they now? Walking under the full glare of sunlight or groping in the dark like a blind man? Adulthood comes with a lot of responsibilities but you have to stand up to plans you have set out.

Have the plans of setting up that business gone down the drain?

Have you lost hope with getting that new job?

What about the projects? Have you swept them under the carpet?

Oh! and the fitness sessions?

You don’t need to bend your head low in disappointment, I bet everyone slips once in a while but if you choose to remain in that  position, that is where there ‘d be a problem.

Time is no man’s friend. Easter is gone and the first quarter has evaporated with the wind. Well, the good news is, April is the new January. Now is the best time to make a U-turn back to those abandoned plans.

Reflect back

Have a throw back on the motivation behind why you had wanted to work on those projects. Think of the benefits of not giving up on them and refuel your interest in them. Your mental strength goes a long way to enable you get things done.

The shortest pen is mightier than the most retentive memory

Pen down your ideas and goals to help you have a physical picture of what you intend to achieve. It helps you to organize your time and your resources so that you can make the most out of them. Written goals help you to stay focused on what you are trying to accomplish.

Be a master planner

Mark out strategies to achieve the goals effectively. Achieving goals contributes to a positive sense of self and purpose and ultimately is a scaffold to further success. Ensure to use an achievable time frame to accomplish your goals as well as measurable details so you know exactly when you’ve achieved them.

What are you waiting for? Don’t douse the fire of this new year with waters from the old year.
