Over the weekend, we have been in a downcast state of mind over the passing away of the ‘Voice of the Lagos,’ Nigerian media personality, actress and social media content creator Tosyn Bucknor. Tributes have been rolled out from several quarters but one dominant thing to take notice of is that, Tosyn lived an impactful life which endeared her to many. She used her gifting and talent for the upliftment of many people she came across.
Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.
You may not feel as if your life stands out, or your talents and abilities are noteworthy. You may feel as if your life is insignificant, and few people take notice of you. But from God’s viewpoint, you are a person of influence, and your life has tremendous potential to impact the lives of others.
It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and to overlook the need for help that’s all around us. When we open our eyes and focus our minds on love and empathy, we see opportunities to make an impact in someone else’s life. With a little creativity, you’ll find lots of ways to change people’s lives with love.
Each day when you get ready to go to work, consider this question – “Do I live to exist, or do I exist to live?” The basic premise being whether you go through your day just waiting for it to end, or do you use the day as an opportunity to make things better.
