The Real Reasons You Haven’t Invested In Your Dreams

You get exactly what you pay for. That’s something we hear all the time when it comes to us being consumers of products in the market. When we go with lower priced items, our expectations are a bit lower of the performance and value of what we buy. But with higher priced items, we have much higher standards and beliefs of what this product should do for us.

Yet, when it comes to pursuing our dreams, we tend to take the path of least resistance. We want to get to our dreams in the quickest way that doesn’t involve us giving our all.

How do you expect to get better at anything if you are willing to pay at any cost?

You know exactly what you want, but you just don’t know how to get there yet. You don’t have to stay stuck there. There are people out there with the knowledge and skills to help you go to the next level. We don’t know it all. We never will. There’s always something we can learn.

Your next level might be in someone else…building a team to support your vision.

Be ok with getting people in your life who can build your dream. Dreams don’t happen because of one single person taking massive action. It takes a complete team to do this in sync. The more you choose to work alone, the less likelihood your dream will come to pass.

It’s important to know what’s holding you back. You need to know what you have to unlock so that you can move forward to your dreams. These are the most common reasons people fear investing in their dreams:

  1. Fear of Commitment

You’re afraid to put yourself in the position of becoming. You don’t want to become the person you have to be to get the dream. It requires a higher level of you. You’re scared to let go of what you know as life itself. You’re comfortable.

Consider when someone fears getting married. It’s not that they don’t love the person. They just don’t love the idea of being committed for a lifetime. It’s like they can’t imagine not having the freedom to back out at any given time.

That’s exactly what happens in committing to getting the dream inside your heart. You do have the option to divorce your dream. You are allowed to quit. It’s not something you should do, but that’s what happens when you refuse to commit and get the help you need. You’re basically not getting anywhere because you won’t jump.

  1. Money Barriers

“I’ll wait until I get the money.”

How many times have you found yourself saying that?

You have the money. You just haven’t gotten to the point to where you had to grab it. Money does grow on trees. You can have as much as your mind will allow you to have. There are ways to get the money you need to have. You just have to want it bad enough. Take out the loan. Swipe the card. Borrow it. Do whatever it takes! The money always returns 10–100 times greater than when it left you. You’ll be able to pay it back easily.

The seed of whatever dollar amount needed to hire the coach, employee, assistant, or whatever you need will come back to you 10xs greater! If you’re afraid to give someone money to get to where you want to be, then you don’t want it bad enough. Guess what? That’s ok. Maybe you should refocus and evaluate what really matters to you in your life.

  1. Subconscious Mind Tricks

The biggest attack against your success is your mind. 90% of what you attract in your mind stems from subconscious thoughts. It’s the deep stuff you don’t talk about. The most common feeling is that you don’t feel worthy enough to have the success. You believe there’s someone out there better who should have it. Maybe you were pushed around and told you couldn’t do something. So it’s easy for you just to stop trying anything. Or you don’t think it will work. It’s easier to believe in failure happening, especially when you haven’t had much success.

Think for a moment.

Which pattern do you side with most?

You can change those limiting beliefs. Set aside just 20 minutes in your day to deep dive into your mind. Affirm yourself in who you want to be. Think about what’s holding you back from getting there. Take the right actions to build your dream.

What is it that you truly want?

What are you willing to sacrifice to get what you desire?

If it’s nothing, you’ll get nothing.

The choice is yours.
