Any job can have stressful elements, even if you love what you do. Even for someone who is otherwise completely healthy, stress can be utterly crippling. Whether you’re dealing with stress at work or in the home, there are ways to manage it and keep it from dominating your thoughts and actions.

When you seem choked with activities or challenges at work, the best bet is to focus on the solution, not the problem.

Most of the situation that stresses you at work is as a result of the mismanagement of time. If you’re constantly feeling wound up, behind on deadlines or under the gun at work, you’re much more likely to respond emotionally to conflict or mistakes. Work towards protecting your time.

Don’t set priorities arbitrarily. Use your goals to evaluate the importance of every task. Set deadlines, if a task doesn’t have a deadline, it will get pushed aside for one that does. Set realistic deadlines for everything, and everything will get done.

Managing stress is partially about your mindset. Your outlook can have a huge impact on your ability to cope with everyday stressors. Keep them in check so they don’t become major sources of negative stress.
