MEET BOSTWANA’S YOUNGEST MINISTER BOGOLO JOY KENEWENDO
31-year-old Bogolo Joy Kenewendo is an economist and politician with degrees from University of Botswana and University of Sussex. She is currently serving as a Cabinet Minister of Investment, trade and Industry in Botswana’s parliament and considered Bostwana’s youngest minister.
Born in Motopi Village in the Boteti area of Bostwana, Kenewendo has always being interested in politics. From participating in the 64th Session of the United Nations General Assembly as a youth delegate to holding high political positions and projects in Bostwana where she was part of former Bostwana’s President Ian Khama’s Private Public Dialogue structure and the High Level Consultative Council.
Kenewendo cofounded a mentorship programme called Molaya Kgosi Women. A programme aimed at mentoring and exposing young women to experienced successful women in her country.
Also, as a seasoned presenter who regularly provides analysis for local and international press, Kenewendo enjoys reading, mediating and traveling and is currently being celebrated on social media for making history.
