Annie Dillard is an inspiration to everyone at the moment. The 92-year-old cosmetologist from South Carolina recently graduated from Midlands Technical College with her fourth degree in liberal arts and is planning on going back to school to get another degree in early childhood education.

Dillard who was the first of over 2,200 graduating Midlands Tech students to walk across the stage to receive her certificate says continuing her education makes her stay mentally stable.

You can make it if you try, but you have to start somewhere says Dillard who hopes to be an inspiration to youngsters

While speaking to ABC News, Ronald Rhames President of Midlands Technical College said:

I’ve known Mrs. Dillard for a number of years, almost since she’s started at the college and I’ve been really, really pleased with her progress. She would be on campus always smiling, always willing to talk with people. If I’m a 15, 16, 17, 18, 19-year-old student at our college and see a lady as mature as Mrs. Dillard, then I have to be encouraged to see what’s gonna happen with me

Annie Dillard who has a daughter in the medical field won’t just be the oldest graduate in her set but she will be the oldest graduate in the history of Midlands Tech.

Congrats to Dillard and thanks to her,  we’re reminded that nothing is impossible when you put your mind to it.
