HEY FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS, GOLDMAN SACHS HAS GOT GOOD NEWS FOR YOU!
For the first time, Goldman Sachs is bringing the #10kwomen initiative program online through a partnership with Coursera for free. The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provides a wide range of financial services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and individuals.
Founded in 1869, the firm is headquartered in New York and maintains offices in all major financial centres around the world. Goldman Sachs launched the #10kwomen global initiative over a decade ago which is targeted at female entrepreneurs as a way of fostering economic growth by providing women entrepreneurs around the world with business and management education, mentoring and networking, and access to capital.
Some of the institutions partnering with them include the University of Leeds and ‘esobeevents’ an events company owned by Sunmbo Adeoye. From their twitter page, it is visible how impactful this program has been in the past as one of its previous benefactors @marywthuo tweeted saying:
I can a confirm indeed this program has empowered and changed my life and more so I have reprecated the same to my Community. Today am changing the world. You Feed a woman through empowerment you Feed the world and future generations of our children and great grand children.
A business education helps female #entrepreneurs enact change. That’s why #10KWomen is now available online to women worldwide through a partnership with @coursera: https://t.co/SfYN43lrDp pic.twitter.com/DK4LklOHNN
