Another amazing speaker we had was Dr. Glory Edozien. Glory is a LinkedIn Visibility Coach and Lead Consultant at the Inspired by Glory Academy, where she teaches mid-senior level career women how to build visibility and establish thought leadership on LinkedIn, so they can get the recognition they deserve, earn more money and climb the corporate ladder.
She is also the tech founder of 9to5Chick, the first of its kind, digital career hub designed specifically for ambitious career women in Africa to find, build and grow their careers and network.
Glory has provided training, coaching and consulting services for clients such as Schneider Electric, Access Bank, Shell, Sterling Bank, AIICO INsurance, OCEAN DEEP DRILLING ESV NIGERIA LIMITED (ODENL), FCSL Asset Management Company Limited, Access Bank, Association of Professional Women’s Bankers, Addosser Micro Finance Bank, Women in Finance NG, Women Inspiring Impact Network, to mention a few.
Glory is an alumni of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers and has been listed as one of Nigeria’s 100 most inspiring women. She has been featured in many notable magazines and platforms including Guardian Life, Ebony Life TV, Genevive Magazine and Arise.
Glory holds a PhD in Real Estate and Planning from the University of Reading, UK and is a Certified Expert in climate change and renewable energy finance and regularly consults on climate change policy documents.
At the conference, Glory talked about “Emerging Jobs and Smooth Transitioning in the Virtual Career Space.” She emphasized the importance of having an online presence, networking, attending events and conferences especially if one is thinking of transitioning in the virtual career space. She said,” You can be doing great work but if you are not positioning yourself correctly in the emerging place of work, you will struggle to transition into the right career opportunities you deserve.”
