Trends will have us doing some certain things which may initially look cool until another trend come on. The beauty and fashion world is so fast spaced, it’s almost impossible to catch-up.

According to Cosmopolitan a new eyebrow trend comes up every week. These trends have us constantly primping and plucking our eyebrows which may hamper the growth of our eye-brow.

The most recent of the eyebrow trends is the semipermanent microblading and the “Instagram brow” phenomenon which makes it clear that bushy is the new black in the beauty world.

The quest for fuller brows has made eyebrow transplants a thing, especially for those who have over plucked their eyebrow. This similar to getting a regular hair transplants, the process involves removing either individual groups or a strip of skin with active follicles from one area of the body to another. The follicles are then trimmed to fit the preferred brow shape and transplanted into the brow area.

Actress Megan Good who falls under the category of people who have over plucked their eyebrow to the point of not growing back shared her journey on getting an eyebrow transplant. Late last year she shared the process of getting her transplant done.

Should incase you are considering having this done, here are four facts you need to know about eyebrow transplant:

Who is the right candidate for an eyebrow hair transplant?

Anyone who is suffering from thinned eyebrows is considered to be good candidates for the procedure. Also, they have to be in generally healthy condition, this means that they don’t have any bleeding or clotting problems.

Is this a permanent solution?

Yes, eyebrow hair transplant surgery is a permanent solution to eyebrow thinning. You will experience long term growth, and just like native eyebrow hair they will eventually shed but will also regenerate eventually

How long does the entire procedure take?

Usually an eyebrow hair transplant can go for 5-6 hours.

How long will it take until I get to see the final results?

The transplanted eyebrows will start noticeable growth at around 4-6 months  post surgery. But you have to expect the transplanted eyebrow hair to shed at around 3-5 weeks post-surgery. This is a natural process, and hair will start to grow again at two months. The final results can be expected at 10 months. This means that full growth and coverage is clearly observable.
