Sade Ladipo is no ordinary woman. She is the Executive Director of WECONNECT an organisation that creates opportunities for female entrepreneurs.  She is also an accomplished media personality who has earned a seat at the table of the elite.

As accomplished as Ladipo has been, as with most women, she has faced several draw backs and judgement from society for not being married. She’s been told to lower her standards, settle for less and dim her accomplishments. However, today she is engaged to be married. In a society that puts down older unmarried women and ignores their accomplishments if they’re single, it is refreshing to see that she was able to rise above the noise and the discrimination. She is a true testament to the fact that God will take you where He wants to as long as you keep the faith.

As she shared her announcement, she gushed about her fiancé describing how she didn’t settle and God gave her the very best. This comes as news of Yvonne Orji who has been very public about her decision to keep her virginity, also broke, of her budding relationship with former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho, 27, and ESPN sports commentator.

News like this may seem trivial but it instils hope in the lives of many women who are constantly under pressure to lower their standards for a change of their relationship status. It is a reminder that you are not crazy for wanting the absolute best.
