One of the latest businesses which has seemed to really take off is natural skin care. From ‘Naturalistas’ preferring to use only natural products on their hair. Beauty experts have discovered that natural might be the way to go in equally caring for the health of your skin. One of the most common beauty products as a result of this new trend, is the African Black Soap.

We did some research and discovered why. Take a look below:

1.Protects Against Photo Aging

Antioxidants in black soap protect the skin from free radical damage usually caused by exposure to the sun which is the primary cause of ageing and wrinkling of the skin

2. Improves Skin Tone

Black soap firms and tones skin while improving the skin’s texture, for more supple and glowing skin.

3. Fades Skin Discolorations

Black soap helps even out and fade skin discolouration so if you’re struggling with hyper-pigmentation, it just might be the key to your skin problems.

4. Reduces Inflammation and Skin Irritations

Black soap helps reduce inflammation and skin irritations. It is soothing on dry and irritated skin, relieving dry patches, rashes and red areas.

5. Helps to Heal Problem Skin

It eases the symptoms of skin conditions like acne.  Users have said that black soap helps lessen, treat and clear acne, gets rid of blackheads, psoriasis and eczema.

6. Has Deep Cleansing Action

Black soap has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties and is great for deep pore cleansing. It is also effective at removing makeup because of the oils and butters which provides a lather for the make-up to come up. Ordinarily, make-up like eyeliner and eye shadow can be easily taken off with oils as opposed to a bar soap and water. The black soap is basically your one-stop shop for all of the above.

7. It Alleviates Razor Bumps

It is often used by men during shaving because of the high shea butter content, which protects the skin.

8. It’s an Effective Exfoliant

The ashes in black soap act as an effective exfoliant to remove dead skin cells and thereby improve fine lines, soften and rejuvenate rough skin.
