INCOMPLETE CIRCLE: YOUR LIFE NEEDS TO STRIKE A BALANCE

I sat down on a reclining armchair and listened as the melodious sounds from Luther Vandross serenaded the air with his classic track, “A house is not a home” from his 1981 debut album ‘Never Too Much.’ The song originally recorded by Dionne Warwick and went ahead to be one of  Vandross’s signature song.

“A chair is still a chair
Even when there’s no one sittin’ there
But a chair is not a house
And a house is not a home
When there’s no one there to hold you tight”

If a house is not a home, then an existing body is not alive either. Feeling alive has to do with all-round well-being and wholesomeness. This explains why one could be physically strong but emotionally drained and have a feeling of nausea.  When you are you are out of balance in nurturing your physical, emotional, intellectual, or spiritual self, there is a likelihood that your life is just dwindling on a stormy sea or in a stagnating position. Surprisingly, this affects your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.

Little wonder why the World bank Organisation posits that health is the “State of complete physical, mental, and social well being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

Your life is a circle and cutting off any part makes it an incomplete circle, it seems more like an arc. Endeavour to make it a point of duty to always strike a balance. The sync within all the spheres of your life will help you regain peace, harmony and happiness.

You are allowed to do everything but certainly but not forgetting how awesome you are. Make a note of the areas of your life that need to be re-adjusted and make the necessary positive change. Your spiritual, physical, career,  emotional, financial and mental life are all important.

Make your body a living one. Live your best life!
