WHY ‘P’ COMES BEFORE ‘Q’: QUITTING IS NOT AN OPTION

Laura raised her eyes to see the finishing line, she knew that coming tops in the race was no mean feat.

“On your marks, Get set” The hoarse voice of the race starter alerted the athletes.

The shotgun blasted off in the air and they all sprinted off.

Laura was speeding at the pace of the wind. She was not sure how long she could go, as she watched some of her competitors outrun her, her breathing accelerated its pace and her body was ebbing away with tiny whispers of quit. She slowed downed her pace to catch her breath. Suddenly, she gaze got directed to the finishing line and only then she knew that the only thing that would ever make her heart glad was to feel her waistband tearing the tape as she crossed the finish line. That was her motivation and she brought her desire to life.

There is a reason why there is a ‘P’ before the letter ‘Q.’ This is because you are allowed to Pause and catch your breathe as you make the pursuit of your destiny but you are not allowed to Quit. It is understandable that has human you might sometimes burn out. It is alright to pause for reflection, take a retrospective look, re-evaluate and forge ahead.

It’s not only moving that creates new starting points. Sometimes all it takes is a subtle shift in perspective, an opening of the mind, an intentional pause and reset, or a new route to start to see new options and new possibilities.
