YOUR EYES NEED TO WORK OUT TOO
About half of the human brain is dedicated to vision and seeing, it also explains why most of the human activities are done in a conscious state. The eyes are one of the most important parts of the body. We perceive the entire world through our eyes, and they are often considered as the window to the soul.
Just as the other parts of our body need to be exercised, so do our eyes muscles need to be exercised to improve our sight or vision. Several studies have found a link between this regular exercise and reduced risk of eye diseases like cataracts, glaucoma and wet age-related eye defects. It should be performed first thing in the morning 8or before bedtime, however, ensure that your hands are clean so as to avoid contaminating your eyes.
There are ways which can help you improve your sight and maintain your precious eyes;
Focusing your gaze is a powerful way to strengthen the eye muscle. Hold an object at arm’s length, focus your eyes on it, and slowly bring it closer until it’s about 6 inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen. You might choose to repeat this activity ten times to achieve an effective result.
Look up and then roll your eyes slowly in circles 10 times clockwise and 10 times anti-clockwise.
Warm up your eyes
Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times
If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids, this provides a cooling effect on the eyes and helps them relax. Form the habit of giving your eyes a break once an hour during your workday — Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer.
