YOUR LIFE IS A MOVIE SERIES, DON’T CUT OFF THE SEQUEL

What is your best movie of all time? What is your most preferred genre of movie? Could it be a comedy, crime, adventure, action, fantasy, romance, horror, drama or even science fiction? Despite their distinct themes and narrative elements, they all share something in common and that is narration. Filmmaking is a visual form of storytelling and your life is not different either. Every new day, month and year add a new scene to it.

You are likely to have your eyes pop out and have your heart pace increase while you munch on popcorn during a movie because you just arrived at the climax point of the what you are seeing. I love to believe it becomes a lot more intense when it is a suspense-filled movie. This is the most important or exciting point in a story or situation, especially when this happens near the end. This same thing applies to our lives. When the happenings around you seem intense than it used to be, understand that a crucial scene of your life is playing out and that is certainly not the final scene.

Don’t quit. Never give up trying to build the world you can see, even if others can’t see it. Listen to your drum and your drum only. It’s the one that makes the sweetest sound.

-Simon Sinek

Telling our stories is not an end in itself, but an attempt to release ourselves from them, to evolve and grow beyond them. We tell and grow with our stories to transform ourselves; to learn about our history and tell our experiences. These stories tend to make a difference in our world, broaden our perspective to see further than normal and cutting off that part that may have imprisoned or enslaved us to live out more of our spiritual and earthly potential.

As our life outplays, we have two options; stay strong or be miserable.

No story exists without its character. Stay strong and trust the process.
