4 SPICES YOU SHOULD INCORPORATE INTO YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE

These 4 surprising spices shouldn’t just merely exist in your cupboard. They could become part of your vanity set as well.  Read below to find out more.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon helps get rid of acne and pimples on the face and body by getting rid of the acne-causing bacteria.  It does this by drying the skin and bringing blood and oxygen to the outer skin surface. A simple to make recipe includes mixing three tablespoons of honey with one tablespoon of cinnamon. Apply the paste on the affected areas and leave it overnight.

Basil

Basil is one surprise ingredient for both skin and hair that I just happened ti stumble upon. Apparently,  it is full of antioxidants and nutrients which will aid in clearing up of acne, blackheads and pimples. While in hair products, it would help to get rid of dandruff and promote hair growth

Thyme

This was another ingredient I was particularly excited about as I love to include it in my meals (being the spice connoisseur that I am). Thyme oil protects the skin from harmful bacteria and fungal infections; it also works as a home remedy for acne; heals sores, wounds, cuts and scars; relieves burns; and naturally remedies rashes. For hair, it is is great for stimulating hair growth as it improves blood flow to the scalp.

Turmeric

Cicatricial alopecia is a scalp ailment caused by inflammation that damages the hair follicles and prevents growth of new hair. Curcumin, an active ingredient in turmeric is effective against these ailments due to its anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antioxidant, antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Also, due to its anti-inflammatory property, it is great for skin as it helps to calm and soothe the skin. Some users have also reported glowing effects as well.
