The popular trend right now is that everyone wants a slimmer waist and many seem to be cutting their food intake to accomplish that. But, have you considered speeding up the body’s natural process of breaking down the food.

Get Active

Inactivity of four or more hours causes an enzyme that metabolizes fat to almost shut down. Throughout the day, leave your desk and walk around. Set an alarm on your phone, or use your watch or fitness band. If you’ve spent all day in traffic, ensure you get a good walk when you’ve reached your destination.

Eat Breakfast

A high-protein breakfast wakes up your liver and jump-starts your metabolism. When you skip breakfast, your body runs without fuel for many hours and will automatically store fat because it thinks it is in a deprived state.

Eat Frequently

Contrary to popular belief, reducing the number of times you eat can actually slow down your metabolic process as the body gets used to storing fat. Having a nutritious bite at least every four hours will keep your energy levels up and your fat burning.

Resist Eating Before Bed

Resist the urge and fight the temptation. You’ll be thankful for it.

Eat dinner at least two to three hours before you retire and try to consume your heavier meals earlier in the day. While you sleep at night, the fat-burning systems in the body slow, rest and repair.
