BEYCHELLA

BEYCHELLA: A SHOWCASE OF WOMAN EXCELLENCE

Beyonce once again left us speechless as she commandeered the stage with an incredible performance at Coachella 2018 on Saturday April 15, 2018. Leaving all her fans gobsmacked! We are all still reeling from her performance – the ferocity of it.

Okada books gave her some accolades and we can’t help but agree.

Beyonce Giselle of House Knowles. First of her name. Snatcher of Edges. Citizen of Creole Wonderland.  Legendary Black Girl. Queen of the Hive.

The later part I had to add. Beyonce made history this year as coachella’s first black female headliner. Her two hour long performance paid homage to Nigeria’s legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Marching Bands, HBCU’s traditions ( Historically black colleges & university), probates and feminity.

Beyonce’s  performance to the bevy of her hits such as “Formation” “Sorry” “Mi Gente” was nothing short of an explosion of black excellence. There was also the part of “sister’s act” as Beyonce and Solange danced to the extended version of “Get me bodied” we could easily feel the love radiating between them.

It got more emotional as Mama bear Tina took to her Instagram page to comment

Soo glad to see Solange and Beyonce dancing together again. I love watching Solange dance like she did last night. I felt like I was back at Ms. Darlette Dance Academy in Houston and those little Knowles girls were dancing twice as hard as everyone else

The crowd went into a frenzy when the destiny’s child reunited on stage to perform our all time favourite “Loose my breath” “Say my name” “Soldier”.

Her performance was exceptional but that’s what happens with thorough planning and a daily 11 hour rehearsal.

We’ve known Beyonce to go big always! She looked gorgeous in all five custom-made Balmain outfit. Again she reminds us, she’s the queen of hip-pop and performance.

What part of BEYCHELLA had you at the edge of your seat. It’s safe to say for us at Flourish Africa that all parts of her 2 hour stage performance had us at the edge of our seats. What a showcase of #womanexcellence and #blackpower.
