MILLENIALS IN POLITICS – MEET RINSOLA ABIOLA A NEWLY APPOINTED APC BOT MEMBER
Rinsola Abiola, is one of the late Bashorun Moshood Abiola’s daughters. She is a Public Relations practitioner and an advocate for gender equity and youth inclusion in governance.
Rinsola currently work as a Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara. Few days ago, she was appointed as one of the Board of Trustees of the All Progressives Congress.
Rinsola Abiola shared “My foray into politics began in 2013 when I served as the founding PRO of the All Progressives Youth Forum (APYF), a youth support group for the All Progressives Congress, which was then still in its formative stage. As months passed by, one thing that continuously nagged at me was the need to correct the serious underrepresentation of young women in the party’s youth section.”
Few days ago, it was announced that Rinsola will be contesting in the 2019 elections.

In an interview with SheLeadsAfrica Rinsola Abiola shared that it was important for young women to participate in politics.
“The involvement of young women through mentoring and capacity building would ensure the grooming of a new generation of women who are prepared to hold both elective and appointive positions and have a clear strategy for engagement.”
Rinsola Abiola is one of the few young women in politics in Nigeria and we wish her all the best in her political pursuit
