MEET THE YOUNGEST JUDGE TO BE APPOINTED IN EASLEY, SOUTH CAROLINA
Do not be stunned when you walk into an Easley, South Carolina Municipal Court and not find an old judge peeking at you from the rims of her glasses. Meet African-American Jasmine Twitty currently twenty eight(28) years, the youngest judge to be appointed in Easley, South Carolina at the age of twenty five (25). She bagged a degree in political science from the College of Charleston, having previously worked for the green Ville County Bond Court as a night clerk.
Twitty was sworn in upon passing certification examination. Its is important to note that Summary Court judges are not required to have a d degree in law because they are appointed.
Jasmine Twitty is not just relegated to the court room as she regularly volunteers at the Urban League of the Upstate. She is also a co-founder of a group dedicated to the professional development of women in the Upstate – LeadHer.
