DID YOU KNOW? A PINCH OF TURMERIC IN YOUR FOUNDATION COULD ADD SOME WARMTH TO YOUR SKIN
Foundation as we know, is supposed to look like your skin but….flawless. To achieve this, we need to find a shade that not only matches the colour on your skin but also matches your skin’s undertone.
I have a warm tone so to avoid looking ashy, I wear a shade darker than my actual skin colour, this usually worked for me until I bought another brand of foundation. This time I couldn’t find a shade that matched and blended nicely with my neck, I always ended up looking ashy after a few hours, so I turned to the internet for answers and found this http://stylecaster.com/beauty/thandie-newtons-secret-beauty-weapon where Thandie Newton says
“Olay does a great tinted moisturizer that I add a little turmeric to – making it more yellow depending on my skin tone and the season. That’s a great trick for all women who find that foundation are too ashy or too pink for their skin tones. And it’s anti-inflammatory. It’s my secret weapon”
Since I have a yellow undertone, I decided to give it try and it worked like a charm.
Remember turmeric has a very strong colour so a little goes a long way. If you add too much, your foundation can become too yellow, so add a little at a time till you reach your desired tone.
This trick may work better for people with yellow undertone.
