Making the Rest of 2017 Work in Your Favor

Can you believe it? Half of the year is already gone! Time is fleeting and sooner than later, 2018 will be making its way into the door. Those new year resolutions you set at the end of 2016 are long forgotten and at this point, you may feel like you are stuck in a cycle of doing the same old things.

Well, luck for you, 2017 is not over and you have more than enough time to get things in motion. How do you do this? I’m glad you asked.

First, take a few moments to determine what things in your life are not working out for you. It could be that your job is stressful, your business is not growing, your family is in disarray, or overall, you may feel as if your zest and zeal for life is gone. There are reasons for you feeling this way.

As you ponder on things that seems to be in limbo, write them down. Then, take it a step further and jot down what changed about those things. Did someone get a chosen for a promotion over you and you feel like you work harder than them? Are you no longer excited about your business idea that you let it fade into the background? In order to find out why you seem stuck, you have to pinpoint when you fell into a dismal space so that you can make a plan to change things. This bring me to my next point—map out your plan.

It’d be wise to create a workable plan before you try to make any kind of drastic change. After you have acknowledged what you desire to change, you need to think ahead and strategize what you are going to do to shake things up. For example, if you don’t feel challenged at work, make a list of things you can do to give you some variety in your workflow. It could be something as small as taking on a new task or changing departments altogether. Don’t think that an exit strategy is always the first option. Find ways to improve where you are.

When it comes to your personal life, think about what gives you energy and plan more of those activities into your schedule. There is more to you than working or studying. You’re a woman! And we love to have fun! Go try out a new lounge. Catch up with old friends who you used to do life with. Oh, and if you lack a love interest…get back out there! Your perfect guy can’t find you if you’re hiding out at work or at home. Breathe life back into your schedule. This will give you something to look forward to…trust me!

Lastly, wake up each day with the intention of having a good day. Nothing beats waking up feeling as if you are about to go on a new adventure. Speak to the atmosphere around you and command it to produce all things positive for you. You have the power to do this! Focus your intentions on being productive not busy and watch your perspective start to change.

2017 will become “just another year” if you are not careful. Don’t get lazy now and allow that to happen. You’ll never get to a place where you can say that you love your life if you don’t take care of the space you’ve been blessed with presently. Make a declaration today that the rest of this year holds the best days of your life! Why? Because you deserve the best because you are the best.
